Wooden Parking Garage Wendlingen
Stuttgart-based Herrmann+Bosch Architekten has designed a wooden parking garage in the German town of Wendlingen that can be converted into residential or office accommodation in the future. The 10,880-square-metre parking garage sits on a pedestrian axis between the newly planned Otto Quarter and Wendlingen train station. Otto is a new mixed-use and climate-friendly urban quarter being built on the former 19th century Otto Textil GmbH mill buildings.

Holcim and partners launch Phoenix, a pioneering and circular 3D printed concrete bridge
La empresa suiza de materiales de construcción y áridos Holcim ha lanzado Phoenix, un puente de hormigón impreso en 3D pionero y circular. Construido en colaboración con el Grupo de Investigación de Bloques (BRG) del Instituto de Tecnología en Arquitectura de ETH Zürich, Zaha Hadid Architects Computation and Design Group (ZHA CODE), y incremental3D, Phoenix demuestra la interacción entre las tecnologías circulares y de bajas emisiones de carbono en el desarrollo de infraestructuras.

MVRDV exhibition showcases Shenzhen Women & Children’s Centre as a model of adaptive reuse

Residential building 360 Degrees realized with 152 tons of demolition waste
En la calle Grasweg, en Ámsterdam-Norte, se ha terminado el edificio residencial 360 Degrees. El complejo, diseñado por Studioninedots, consta de dos torres conectadas por un podio en cascada. Los ladrillos utilizados se fabricaron con más de 152 toneladas de residuos de demolición.

360 Degrees se alza al final de Grass Road, frente al barrio construido según el plan Cityplot. El diseño del edificio residencial de 110 apartamentos se desarrolló de forma integrada con Cityplot y comparte las mismas ambiciones de flexibilidad, circularidad y sostenibilidad social, informa Studioninedots.

Mies van der Rohe 1:1 Model Golfclubhaus
In the summer of 2013 Robbrecht en Daem architecten realizes a temporary pavilion based on a competition design by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe from 1930. The design, a clubhouse for a golf course in the gently rolling countryside around the former industrial city of Krefeld, Germany, was never built at the time it was designed. Christiane Lange, art historian and curator for ProjektMIK, invited Robbrecht en Daem architecten to design an objet d'architecture on the basis of the unpublished historical sketches of the project that were found in the Mies van der Rohe Archive (MoMA) in New York.

Boekentoren - University Library
The conservation project for the Book Tower aims at restoring the historical site of the University Library, situated in the lively quartier Latin of Ghent, meanwhile at transforming it into a library for the 21st Century. The design unites the ambitions of the University to respectfully repair the monumental site to its original condition, but also to render it a contemporary house for a great diversity of users and for the valuable own collection of the institute.
