Under the motto »Education and training with a future«, the vocational schools in Korbach offer a wide range of educational and further training opportunities. With the complete refurbishment and remodeling of the school building, which was built in 1977, a future-oriented learning environment was created that meets the modern educational requirements of the competence center through open structures and the highest quality standards.
The existing school building was thoroughly renovated to meet today's requirements for safety, energy efficiency and a modern learning environment. The work was carried out in six construction phases - parallel to ongoing school operations.
The facades, roofs and the entire technical equipment were renewed. With modern ventilation, new lighting and revised electrical installations, the building now offers modern conditions for teaching and training on around 9,350 m². The prefabricated façade made of timber panel construction elements and materials such as large zinc rhomboids and Trespa panels give the school a modern appearance.
The spatial concept has also been adapted to current educational needs: Open learning areas, three bright inner courtyards and clearly structured pathways promote community and exchange. The transparent design without doors and acoustically sophisticated room solutions ensure a pleasant learning atmosphere.
