For the move to a state-of-the-art, flexible and energy-saving planning and production facility for Westfalia Technologies GmbH, there were requirements for an open-space office interior for the Borgholzhausen site.
The challenge for the interior designer was to develop a concept that would support interactive co-working between the individual departments while creating a flexible office structure characterised by modular and temporarily expandable elements that would allow the space to be adapted or extended as required and thus adapt to the changing requirements of the working environment, making the office adaptable and future-oriented in the long term.
The requirement was to use an ultimate furnishing system that offers material combinations that is adjusted to our time, as well as a variety of possible uses.
It has to be not only aesthetically pleasing, but also radiate functionality, offer versatile utilisation options and meet the practical requirements of everyday working life as well as modern design demands.
Thoughts about sustainability also played a central role in the choice of the modular interior system of GRID.
Thanks to the future-proof combination and expansion options, with GRID, the office structure can remain flexible and thus conserve resources. It can be further developed over time and adapted to changing requirements without the need for major remodelling.
From Westfalia Technologies GmbH's point of view, GRID fulfils all these factors and impresses with its filigree yet stable structure, adapting perfectly to the rest of the office interior architecture.
